MINISTERIAL ORDER NO.  MSD:011/21

I, Ric McIver, Minister of Municipal Affairs, pursuant to Section 605 of the Municipal Government Act (MGA), make the following order:

That for the purpose of the Village of Chauvin council vacancy that occurred on November 30, 2020, the timeframe wherein council is exempt from the requirement to hold a by-election, as per Section 162(a) of the MGA, is 11 months before a general election.
