            The Lieutenant Governor in Council

1          makes the Order in the attached Appendix designating the land described in the Schedule of Lands as a provincial park to be known as Writing-on-Stone Provincial Park;

2          rescinds Order in Council numbered O.C. 247/92.

Provincial Parks Act

WRITING-ON-STONE PROVINCIAL PARK ORDER

The lands described in the Schedule of Lands are designated as a provincial park to be known as Writing-on-Stone Provincial Park.

SCHEDULE OF LANDS

FIRSTLY:

All those parcels or tracts of land, situate, lying and being in the first (1) township, in the thirteenth (13) range, west of the fourth (4) meridian, in the Province of Alberta, Canada, and being composed of:

(A) Sections twenty-four (24), twenty-five (25), twenty-six (26), thirty-five (35) and thirty-six (36), the north half of section thirteen (13), the north west quarter of section fourteen (14), the west half of section twenty-three (23),  the south east quarter and legal subdivisions nine (9), ten (10) and fifteen (15) of section thirty-four (34), legal subdivisions fifteen (15) and sixteen (16) of section twenty-seven (27), all that portion of legal subdivision sixteen (16) of the said section thirty-four (34) which lies to the south and west of the left bank of the Milk River and all that portion of the north east quarter of section fifteen (15) of the said township lying generally to the south and east of the south easterly limit of an unsurveyed roadway, as shown upon a plan on file in the Department of Sustainable Resource Development at Edmonton as No. 1680 TEMP.

SAVING AND EXCEPTING:

Four and five hundred twelve thousandths (4.512) hectares (11.15 acres), more or less, required for a surveyed roadway, as shown upon a plan of survey of record in the Land Titles Office at Calgary for the Southern Alberta Land Registration District as No. 851 B.M.

(B) All that portion of the statutory road allowance adjoining the east boundary of the north east quarter of the said section thirty-five (35) of the said township, lying to the north of the left bank of the said river, containing one and four hundred ninety-seven thousandths (1.497) hectares (3.70 acres), more or less.

SECONDLY:

All those parcels or tracts of land, situate, lying and being in the second (2) township, in the fourteenth (14) range, west of the fourth (4) meridian, in the Province of Alberta, Canada, and being composed of:

The north west quarter of section one (1), the south half and north east quarter of section seven (7), the north east quarter of section eight (8), the north west quarter of section ten (10), all those portions of the north half of section two (2) lying generally to the south of the left bank of the Milk River, all that portion of the west half of the said section eight (8) required for Lot 1, Block 2, as shown upon a plan of survey of record in the said Land Titles Office as 071 6361, all those portions of the east half of the said section ten (10) required for Lot 2, Block 1, as shown upon a plan of survey of record in the said Land Titles Office as 071 6316 and all those portions of the west half of the said section eight (8) and the east half of the said section (10) comprising the bed and shore of the said Milk River.

THIRDLY:

All those parcels or tracts of land, situate, lying and being in the second (2) township, in the fifteenth (15) range, west of the fourth (4) meridian, in the Province of Alberta, Canada, and being composed of:

The south east quarter of section twelve (12),  legal subdivisions nine (9), fifteen (15) and sixteen (16) of section one (1), all that portion of legal subdivision ten (10) of the said section one (1) lying generally to the east of the left bank of the Milk River, all those portions of the north west quarter of the said section one (1) and the south west quarter of the said section twelve (12) lying generally to the south and east of the left bank of the said Milk River and all that portion of the south west quarter of the said section twelve (12) required for Lot 2 as shown upon a plan of survey of record in the said Land Titles Office as No. 911 0326.

SAVING AND EXCEPTING:

Three and fifty-nine thousandths (3.059) hectares (7.56 acres), more or less, required for a surveyed roadway, as shown upon a plan of survey of record in the said Land Titles Office as No. 761 1064.

The lands herein described contain two thousand six hundred eighty-nine and forty-nine thousandths (2,689.049) hectares (6,644.79 acres), more or less.
