            The Lieutenant Governor in Council

1          designates the list of lands in the attached Appendix as a provincial park to be known as Lois Hole Centennial Provincial Park;

2          rescinds Order in Council numbered O.C. 182/2005.

Provincial Parks Act

LOIS HOLE CENTENNIAL PROVINCIAL PARK ORDER

The lands described in the Schedule of Lands are designated as a provincial park to be known as Lois Hole Centennial Provincial Park.

 

SCHEDULE OF LANDS

FIRSTLY:

All those parcels or tracts of land, situate, lying and being in the fifty-third (53) township, in the twenty-fifth (25) range, west of the fourth (4) meridian in the Province of Alberta, Canada, and being composed of:

(A) All those portions of the west half of section twenty-nine (29), sections thirty (30) and thirty-one (31) and the south west quarter of section thirty-two (32) of the said township, comprising the bed and shore of Big Lake.

(B) All that portion of the north half of section nineteen (19) of the said township, lying generally to the north of the south bank of the said Big Lake, covered and not covered by any of the waters of the said Big Lake.

(C) All that portion of the south east quarter of the said section thirty (30) of the said township lying generally to the south and east of the south east bank of the said Big Lake and all that portion of the said section thirty (30) of the said township lying generally to the south of the left bank of the Sturgeon River and generally to the north and west of the north west bank of the said Big Lake.

(D) All that portion of the said section nineteen (19) of the said township, required for Area A, as shown upon a plan of survey of record in the Land Titles Office at Edmonton for the North Alberta Land Registration District as No. 0728414.

(E) All that portion of the north half of the said section twenty-nine (29) of the said township, required for Lot 1, Block 2  as shown upon a plan of survey of record in the said Land Titles Office as No. 1021870 and all that portion of road plan 2065EO within the north west quarter of the said section twenty-nine (29) lying north of the northerly limit of road plan 7310AG and west of road plan 0928282.

SECONDLY:

All those parcels or tracts of land, situate, lying and being in the fifty-third (53) township, in the twenty-sixth (26) range, west of the fourth (4) meridian in the Province of Alberta,

Canada, and being composed of:

(A) All those portions of the north half of section fifteen (15), sections twenty-two (22), twenty-three (23), twenty-four (24), the south east quarter of section twenty-five (25), the south half of section twenty-seven (27) and the south east quarter of section twenty-eight (28) of the said township, comprising the bed and shore of the said Big Lake. 

(B) All that portion of the north east quarter of section sixteen (16) of the said township required for Area A, as shown upon a plan of survey of record in the Land Titles Office at Edmonton for the North Alberta Land Registration District as No. 032 2171.

(C) All those portions of legal subdivision one (1) of the said section twenty-two (22) and legal subdivision nine (9) of the said section twenty-three (23) of the said township lying generally to the south of the south bank of the said Big Lake.  

 

(D) Section twenty-one (21), the north half of section twenty (20), the south west quarter of section twenty-eight (28) and all those portions of  the west half of the said section twenty-two (22), the south west quarter of the said section twenty-seven (27), and the south east quarter of the said section twenty-eight (28) of the said township lying generally to the south and west of the south westerly bank of the said Big Lake.

 

Saving and Excepting

 

1.      Eighteen and eighty-seven hundredths (18.87) hectares (46.63 acres), more or less, required for Lot 1, Block 1, as shown upon a plan of survey of record in the said Land Titles Office as No. 0726797.

2.       Six hundred sixty thousandths (0.660) of a hectare (1.63 acres), more or less, required for a surveyed roadway, as shown upon a plan of survey of record in the said Land Titles Office as No. 0220622.

 

(E) All those portions of the north half of the said section twenty-four (24) and the south east quarter of the said section twenty-five (25) not covered by the waters of the said Big Lake and all that portion of the north east quarter of the said section twenty-five (25) not covered by the waters of the said Big Lake.

 

(F) All that portion of the east half of legal subdivision five (5) and the north east quarter of legal subdivision four (4) of the said section twenty-five (25) of the said township which lies to the south of the southern limit of the road allowance dividing St. Albert Settlement from the said lands, as shown upon a plan of survey of the said township signed at Ottawa on the 29th day of March, 1911,     and all that portion of the north east quarter of the said section twenty-five (25) of the said township which lies generally to the south of the left bank of the said Sturgeon River and to the east of the easterly limit of the said road allowance adjoining the west boundary of the said quarter section and dividing St. Albert Settlement from the said lands.

 

(G) All that portion of the west half of the said section twenty-seven (27) of the said township bounded as follows: on the east by the production southerly of the eastern limit of Lot E of St. Albert Settlement, on the north by the southern limit of said Lot E, on the west by the western boundary of the said section and on the south by the north shore of Big Lake as shown upon a plan of survey of the said township signed at Ottawa on the 29th day of March, 1911.

(H) The fractional portion of legal subdivisions nine (9) and ten (10) of the said section twenty-eight (28) as shown upon a plan of survey of the said township signed at Ottawa on the 12th day of October, 1910.

Saving and Excepting

1.      Four and twenty-one hundredths (4.21) hectares (10.40 acres), more or less, required for Lot 1, Block 2 as shown upon a plan of survey of record in the said Land Titles Office as No. 0726771.

 

(I) All that portion of Lot B in the said section twenty-eight (28) as shown on a subdivision plan of record in the said Land Titles Office as No. 4535RS, which lies south west of the south westerly limit of a surveyed roadway, as shown on a plan of survey of record in the said Land Titles Office as  No. 8208AG.

(J) All that portion of the south half of section twenty-nine (29) lying generally to the south of the southerly boundaries of Lots Fa, G and H and all that portion of the south east quarter of section thirty (30) of the said township lying generally to the south of the southerly limit of the said Lot H, as shown upon a plan of record in the said Land Titles Office as St. Albert Settlement.

The lands herein described contain one thousand seven hundred ninety-nine and seven hundred ninety-six thousandths (1799.796) hectares (4,447.39 acres), more or less.
