WHEREAS the occurrence of wildfires in Lamont County in September 2009 caused extraordinary losses and damages;
WHEREAS the extraordinary losses and damages caused by the wildfires have reached such a point that it constitutes a disaster;
THEREFORE the Lieutnant Governor in Council declares that a disaster exists, in the nature of extraordinary fire suppression and emergency response costs resulting from these wildfires with respect to the 2009-2010 fiscal year.
