ALBERTA BEEF PRODUCERS AUTHORIZATION 
AMENDMENT REGULATION

pursuant to section 26 of the Marketing of Agricultural Products Act.
1   The Alberta Beef Producers Authorization Regulation 
(AR 352/2003) is amended by this Regulation.

2   Section 2 is amended
	(a)	by repealing clause (c) and substituting the 
following:
	(c)	 providing for
	(i)	the assessment, charging and collection of service 
charges from producers from time to time for the 
purposes of the Plan, 
	(ii)	the assessment, charging and collection of levies 
from producers from time to time for the purposes 
of the Plan, and
	(iii)	the taking of legal action to enforce payment of the 
service charges and levies, as the case may be;
	(b)	by repealing clause (c.1);
	(c)	in clause (d)(i) by adding "or levies, as the case may be," 
after "service charges";
	(d)	by adding the following after clause (d):
	(d.1)	respecting the circumstances, if any, under which a 
service charge may be refunded to a producer;
	(e)	in clause (e) by adding ", levies" after "service charges".

3   Section 5 is repealed.

4   The Alberta Beef Producers Authorization (Levy) 
Regulation (AR 28/2013) is repealed.

Seniors Benefit Act
SENIORS BENEFIT ACT GENERAL 
AMENDMENT REGULATION

on June 10, 2015 pursuant to section 6 of the Seniors Benefit Act. 
1   The Seniors Benefit Act General Regulation (AR 213/94) 
is amended by this Regulation.

2   Section 7(1) to (3.1) are repealed and the following is 
substituted:
Payments
7(1)  A senior who is eligible to receive a benefit may be paid 
retroactively for a period of up to 11 months but not for any period 
prior to the month in which the senior's 65th birthday occurred or 
that coincides with a period of deferment referred to in section 3(1.1) 
on the part of the senior or the senior's spouse or adult 
interdependent partner.

3   Section 8.1 is amended 
	(a)	in subsection (1) by repealing clauses (c) to (d.2) 
and substituting the following:
	(c)	in the case of primary funded items and an applicant 
who is a single senior, the applicant's total income is 
less than $26 400 after deducting the supplementary 
accommodation assistance benefit and Canada Pension 
Death benefit paid to the applicant in the previous year,
	(d)	in the case of primary funded items and an applicant 
who is part of a senior couple, the senior couple's total 
income is less than $43 000 after deducting the 
supplementary accommodation assistance benefit and 
Canada Pension Death benefit paid to the senior couple 
in the previous year,
	(d.1)	in the case of secondary funded items and an applicant 
who is a single senior, the applicant's total income is 
less than $22 000 after deducting the supplementary 
accommodation assistance benefit and Canada Pension 
Death benefit paid to the applicant in the previous year, 
and
	(d.2)	in the case of secondary funded items and an applicant 
who is part of a senior couple, the senior couple's total 
income is less than $34 800 after deducting the 
supplementary accommodation assistance benefit and 
Canada Pension Death benefit paid to the senior couple 
in the previous year.
	(b)	in subsection (3) by striking out ", "secondary funded 
items" and "non-standard funded items" " and 
substituting "and "secondary funded items" "; 
	(c)	by repealing subsection (4) and substituting the 
following:
(4)  The Minister may by order classify the discontinuous special 
needs component into primary and secondary funded items and 
may, in the order, designate
	(a)	the categories of primary funded items and secondary 
funded items,
	(b)	any additional or other eligibility criteria, factors and 
conditions that must be met in respect of each such 
funded item,
	(c)	the maximum number of each funded item that may be 
provided and the frequency with which each may be 
provided to any person either annually or in a lifetime, 
or both, and
	(d)	the maximum amount that may be paid for each funded 
item.

4   Section 8.2 is amended by striking out ", in the opinion of 
the Minister,".

5   Section 12.1 is amended by striking out "July 1, 2015" and 
substituting "July 1, 2025".

6   The Schedule is amended
	(a)	in section 4.1(3) by striking out "$600" and 
substituting "$640";
	(b)	by repealing section 7;
	(c)	in the Table
	(i)	by repealing Part 1 and substituting the

AMENDMENT REGULATION

1   The Alberta Beef Producers Commission Regulation 
(AR 204/98) is amended by this Regulation.

2   Section 1(1) is repealed and the following is substituted:
Definitions
1(1)  In this Regulation,
	(a)	"export" means the transportation of cattle out of Canada by 
any mode of transportation;
	(b)	"Plan" means the Alberta Beef Producers Plan Regulation 
(AR 286/2009).

3   Section 2 is amended


	(a)	in subsection (1)
	(i)	by striking out "Subject to subsection (4), a producer 
who sells" and substituting "A producer who sells or 
exports";
	(ii)	by adding "or exported" after "sold";
	(b)	in subsection (2) by striking out "Subject to subsection 
(4), a producer" and substituting "A producer";
	(c)	by repealing subsection (4).

4   Section 2.01 is amended

(5)  Subject to subsection (6), a producer is not entitled to a 
refund in respect of a service charge if
	(a)	the request for a refund of the service charge has not 
been submitted in accordance with subsections (3) and 
(4), or
	(b)	the producer, purchaser or dealer has not furnished the 
information requested within the time period set out in 
section 9(3).
	(b)	by repealing subsection (6) and substituting the 
following:
(6)  If the Commission is satisfied that extenuating circumstances 
exist, the Commission may accept a request for a refund in 
respect of a service charge 
	(a)	where the request has not been submitted in accordance 
with subsections (3) and (4), or
	(b)	where the producer, purchaser or dealer has not 
furnished the information requested within the time 
period set out in section 9(3).

10   Section 8(2) is repealed.

11   Section 9 is amended
	(a)	in subsection (1)
	(i)	by adding ", exports" after "markets";
	(ii)	by adding ", exporting" after "marketing";
