Alberta Regulation 183/2013 Municipal Government Act BEAVER REGIONAL WASTE MANAGEMENT SERVICES COMMISSION AMENDMENT REGULATION Filed: October 2, 2013 For information only: Made by the Lieutenant Governor in Council (O.C. 308/2013) on October 2, 2013 pursuant to section 602.02 of the Municipal Government Act. 1 The Beaver Regional Waste Management Services Commission Regulation (AR 75/92) is amended by this Regulation. 2 Section 5 is repealed and the following is substituted: Property 5(1) The Commission shall not sell any of the land, buildings or personal property used in connection with the supply of waste management services without the approval of the Minister. (2) The Minister may not approve a sale under subsection (1) unless the Minister is satisfied (a) as to the repayment of the grants from the Government of Alberta and outstanding debt associated with that portion of the land, buildings and personal property to be sold, and (b) that the sale would not have a significant adverse effect on the provision of waste management services by the Commission. 3 The following is added after section 6: Profit and surpluses 7 Unless otherwise approved by the Minister, the Commission must not (a) operate for the purposes of making a profit, or (b) distribute any of its surpluses to its member municipalities. Approval 8 The Minister may make an approval under section 5 or 7 subject to any terms or conditions the Minister considers appropriate. Alberta Regulation 184/2013 Securities Act SECURITIES AMENDMENT REGULATION Filed: October 2, 2013 For information only: Made by the Lieutenant Governor in Council (O.C. 310/2013) on October 2, 2013 pursuant to section 223 of the Securities Act. 1 The Securities Regulation (AR 115/95) is amended by this Regulation. 2 The Schedule is amended (a) in section 1 by adding the following after clause (a.2): (a.3) "MI 13-102" means Multilateral Instrument 13-102 System Fees for SEDAR and NRD, as amended or replaced from time to time; (b) by adding the following after section 23: 24 MI 13-102 applies in respect of fees for the following: (a) System for Electronic Document Analysis and Retrieval (SEDAR); (b) National Registration Database (NRD). 3 This Regulation comes into force on October 26, 2013. -------------------------------- Alberta Regulation 185/2013 Electric Utilities Act CITY OF MEDICINE HAT PAYMENT IN LIEU OF TAX AMENDMENT REGULATION Filed: October 2, 2013 For information only: Made by the Lieutenant Governor in Council (O.C. 311/2013) on October 2, 2013 pursuant to section 147 of the Electric Utilities Act. 1 The City of Medicine Hat Payment in Lieu of Tax Regulation (AR 235/2003) is amended by this Regulation. 2 Section 11 is amended by striking out "October 31, 2013" and substituting "June 30, 2021". -------------------------------- Alberta Regulation 186/2013 Government Organization Act DESIGNATION AND TRANSFER OF RESPONSIBILITY AMENDMENT REGULATION Filed: October 2, 2013 For information only: Made by the Lieutenant Governor in Council (O.C. 316/2013) on October 2, 2013 pursuant to sections 16, 17 and 18 of the Government Organization Act. 1 The Designation and Transfer of Responsibility Regulation (AR 80/2012) is amended by this Regulation. 2 Section 2 is amended (a) by adding the following after subsection (1): (1.1) The responsibility for the Northern Alberta Development Council Act is transferred to the Minister of Aboriginal Relations. (b) by adding the following after subsection (4): (5) The responsibility for that part of the public service associated with the part of the appropriation transferred under subsection (6) is transferred to the Minister of Aboriginal Relations. (6) The responsibility for the administration of the unexpended balance of element 6.3, Northern Alberta Development Council, of Program 6, Economic Competitiveness, of the 2013-14 Government appropriation for Enterprise and Advanced Education is transferred to the Minister of Aboriginal Relations. 3 Section 7(1)(s) is repealed. Alberta Regulation 187/2013 Child, Youth and Family Enhancement Act COURT RULES AND FORMS AMENDMENT REGULATION Filed: October 15, 2013 For information only: Made by the Lieutenant Governor in Council (O.C. 319/2013) on October 15, 2013 pursuant to section 131 of the Child, Youth and Family Enhancement Act. 1 The Court Rules and Forms Regulation (AR 39/2002) is amended by this Regulation. 2 Section 10 is amended by striking out "March 31, 2014" and substituting "June 30, 2017". 3 The following is added after Form 16 in the Schedule: Form 16.1 Notice and Application by a Former Guardian to Terminate a Permanent Guardianship Order In the Provincial Court of Alberta in the Matter of an Application under section 35.1 of the Child, Youth and Family Enhancement Act. Regarding the child(ren) , born (date-yyyy/mm/dd) , born (date-yyyy/mm/dd) , born (date-yyyy/mm/dd) 1 My name is (name of applicant) . I was a guardian of the child(ren) immediately before the permanent guardianship order was made regarding the child(ren). 2 Notice I am applying to the Court for an order terminating the permanent guardianship order regarding the child(ren). I will ask the Court to appoint me as guardian of the child(ren). The Court hearing will be at (address) on (date-yyyy/mm/dd) . The Judge will hear my application as soon as possible after (time) , in Courtroom number (number) . If you want to speak to the Judge about my application, you must attend the hearing. At the end of the hearing, the Judge may make the order that I am applying for. The Judge may make an order different from what I apply for. If you do not attend the Court hearing, the Judge may still make an order. 3 Application I am applying for an order terminating the permanent guardianship order and appointing me as guardian of the child(ren). Alberta Regulation 188/2013 Workers' Compensation Act WORKERS' COMPENSATION AMENDMENT REGULATION Filed: October 15, 2013 For information only: Made by the Lieutenant Governor in Council (O.C. 320/2013) on October 15, 2013 pursuant to section 153 of the Workers' Compensation Act. 1 The Workers' Compensation Regulation (AR 325/2002) is amended by this Regulation. 2 Section 7(1)(c)(vi)(A) is repealed and the following is substituted: (A) the Employment and Immigration Grant Regulation (AR 94/2009), or 3 Section 11 is repealed and the following is substituted: Representation 11 A person with a direct interest in a claim or an assessment may be represented by legal counsel or another agent in (a) a review under section 46 or 120 of the Act, or (b) an appeal referred to in section 13.2(1). 4 Section 23 is amended by striking out "October 31, 2013" and substituting "October 31, 2023". 5 Schedule A is amended by striking out "Authorities, Boards, Commissions or Foundations that do not operate as industries under the Act, other than the Alberta Cancer Board, the Alberta Gaming and Liquor Commission, the Alberta Mental Health Board, the Workers' Compensation Board and regional health authorities and subsidiary health corporations under the Regional Health Authorities Act" and substituting "Authorities, Boards, Commissions or Foundations that do not operate as industries under the Act, other than the Alberta Gaming and Liquor Commission, the Alberta Mental Health Board, the Workers' Compensation Board and regional health authorities and subsidiary health corporations under the Regional Health Authorities Act". 6 Schedule B is amended by striking out item 6 and substituting the following: 6 Occupational noise induced hearing loss. 6 An industry or process where there is prolonged occupational exposure to excessive noise levels. -------------------------------- Alberta Regulation 189/2013 Livestock Industry Diversification Act LIVESTOCK INDUSTRY DIVERSIFICATION (PRINCIPAL) AMENDMENT REGULATION Filed: October 15, 2013 For information only: Made by the Lieutenant Governor in Council (O.C. 324/2013) on October 15, 2013 pursuant to section 33 of the Livestock Industry Diversification Act. 1 The Livestock Industry Diversification (Principal) Regulation (AR 255/91) is amended by this Regulation. 2 Section 4.1 is amended by striking out "October 31, 2013" and substituting "October 31, 2014".
