Notice of Receipt of a Repatriation Application
(Blackfoot First Nations Sacred Ceremonial Objects Repatriation Regulation)
Pursuant to the First Nations Sacred Ceremonial Objects Repatriation Act 
(FNSCORA) and the Blackfoot First Nations Sacred Ceremonial Objects Repatriation 
Regulation made under that Act, the Province of Alberta as represented by the 
Minister of Culture hereby gives notice of receipt of a repatriation application from a 
member of the Siksika Nation for several objects in the Government of Alberta's 
collections at the Glenbow Museum and the Royal Alberta Museum.
The application requests the repatriation of the following: the Natoas Head Band 
Bundle AF 119a-j, housed in the Glenbow Museum; Beaver Bundle counting sticks 
and bag H65.12.1-251, housed in the Royal Alberta Museum, and Beaver Bundle 
counting sticks H65.12.254-363, also housed at the Royal Alberta Museum. All of the 
requested objects originated with the Siksika Nation.
Any person with an interest in these objects who either wishes to make written 
representations to the Minister relating to this application or to submit an application 
of their own, must do so within 30 days after publication of this notice in The Alberta 
Gazette. For further information, an interested person should contact the Aboriginal 
Liaison Officer at the Royal Alberta Museum, 12845-102 Avenue, Edmonton,

written representations have been made, and the Minister considers repatriation to be 
appropriate.

The close times and quotas set out in Schedule 8 to the Alberta Fishery Regulations, 
1998 in respect of the waters listed in the Schedule to this Notice have been varied by 
Variation Order 10-2012 by the Director of Fisheries Management in accordance with 
section 3 of the Alberta Fishery Regulations, 1998.
Where fishing with gill nets is permitted during an open season established by the
