     AMENDMENT REGULATION

     Filed:  January 4, 1996

Made by the Lieutenant Governor in Council (M.O. 44/95) pursuant to section
1.1 of the Petroleum Royalty Regulation (Alta. Reg. 248/90).


1   The Prescribed Amounts (Petroleum Royalty) Regulation (Alta. Reg.
47/93) is amended by this Regulation.


2   Section 39 is amended by adding the following after clause (d):

     (d.1)     the new oil par price is $134.14 per cubic metre;


3   The following is added after section 39:

     40   The following are prescribed for the month of February, 1996:

               (a)  the old non-heavy oil par price is $146.14 per
cubic metre;

               (b)  the old heavy oil par price is $112.28 per cubic
metre;

               (c)  the new non-heavy oil par price is $146.14 per
cubic metre;

               (d)  the new heavy oil par price is $112.28 per cubic
metre;

               (e)  the third tier non-heavy oil par price is $146.14
per cubic metre;

               (f)  the third tier heavy oil par price is $112.28 per
cubic metre;

               (g)  the old non-heavy oil royalty factor is 3.122279;

               (h)  the old heavy oil royalty factor is 3.124743;

               (i)  the new non-heavy oil royalty factor is 3.154005;

               (j)  the new heavy oil royalty factor is 2.718993;

               (k)  the third tier non-heavy oil royalty factor is
3.242983;
               (l)  the third tier heavy oil royalty factor is
3.000000;

               (m)  the old non-heavy oil select price is $26.01 per
cubic metre;

               (n)  the old heavy oil select price is $26.01 per cubic
metre;

               (o)  the new non-heavy oil select price is $82.89 per
cubic metre;

               (p)  the new heavy oil select price is $55.91 per cubic
metre;

               (q)  the third tier non-heavy oil select price is
$118.97 per cubic metre;

               (r)  the third tier heavy oil select price is $118.97
per cubic metre;

               (s)  the adjustment factor for old non-heavy oil is
1.019022.

     ALBERTA RULES OF COURT AMENDMENT REGULATION

     Filed:  January 10, 1996

Made by the Lieutenant Governor in Council (O.C. 8/96) pursuant to section
15 of the Court of Appeal Act, section 18 of the Court of Queen's Bench Act
and sections 106 and 107 of the Civil Enforcement Act.


1   The Alberta Rules of Court (Alta. Reg. 390/68) are amended by this
Regulation.


2   Rule 5(1)(b)(ii) is amended by adding "located in Alberta" after
"telecopier".


3   Rule 683(a)(ii) is amended by striking out "examination" and
substituting "encumbrance".


4   Rule 685(2) is amended by striking out "Rule 5(b)(i)" and substituting
"Rule 5(1)(b)(i)".


5   Rule 686 is amended

     (a)  in subrule (1)(b)(ii)(C) by striking out "Registery" and
substituting "Registry";

     (b)  in subrules (2) and (6) by striking out "must" and substituting
"shall";

     (c)  in subrule (3)(e) by striking out ", if that order does not
include" and substituting "but not".


6   Rule 690(2) is amended by striking out "must" and substituting "shall".


7   Rule 691 is amended

     (a)  by repealing subrule (1) and substituting the following:

Order confirming sale
     691(1)  Where the Court has ordered that the mortgaged property or
any part of that property be offered for sale by tenders filed in Court,
the plaintiff shall apply for

               (a)  an order confirming sale, or
               (b)  an order rejecting tenders and directing the return
of the deposits paid in respect of the rejected tenders,

     within 25 days after the date set for the reception of tenders.

     (b)  by repealing subrule (3) and substituting the following:

     (3)  Where a certificate of payment into Court has been provided
under subrule (2), the certificate of payment into Court shall be
registered at the Land Titles Office concurrently with the order confirming
sale.


8   Rule 693(3) is amended by striking out "subrule (3)" and substituting
"subrule (2)".


9   Schedule A is amended by repealing Forms Q and Q2 to Q18.

     ROYALTY TAX CREDIT REFERENCE PRICE AMENDMENT REGULATION

     Filed:  January 15, 1996

Made by the Minister of Energy (M.O. 43/95) pursuant to section 5.2(3) of
the Alberta Corporate Tax Regulation (Alta. Reg. 105/81).


1   The Royalty Tax Credit Reference Price Regulation (Alta. Reg. 151/95)
is amended by this Regulation.


2   The following is added after section 4:

Price to March 31, 1996
     5   The royalty tax credit reference price for the period ending
March 31, 1996 is $114.36.
