Legislative Publications

Alberta Queen's Printer works closely with various government ministries to publish legislative publications. The following publications are available:

	Adoption Kit - Adult Kit contains all the forms required to complete the adult adoption process. Use this kit if you are planning to adopt another adult (18 years of age or older) or if you are the adult being adopted. View the Adult Adoption Kit online.
	Adoption Kit - Private Kit contains all the forms required to complete the private adoption process. Use this kit to process a private adoption which means any person adopting: the child of their spouse/adult interdependent partner, or a child who has been placed in their care by the birthparent/legal guardian. 	Alberta Divorce Kit Kit contains all the information required to obtain an uncontested divorce in Alberta Includes step by-step instructions and all the necessary forms on CD - requires access to a Microsoft Word or compatible (not Mac) word processor with a CD drive Use this kit to process an uncontested divorce if: at least one spouse has resided in Alberta for the last year; and there are no disputes over child custody, property, or spousal support.
	Alberta Rules of Court Rules of Court Binder Set: 2-volume set with coloured tabs for easy reference. Amendments are published approximately 2-3 times per year and are sold separately. 	Alberta Stack Sampling Code Specifies methods for measuring the emissions of air pollutants from stationary sources. Methods apply when emission data are required for determining compliance under the Environmental Protection and Enhancement Act and its regulations.
	Annotated FOIP Binder Designed to help anyone working with privacy matters understand and apply Alberta's Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy (FOIP) Act. Updates are published twice per year and are sold separately.
	Alberta Asbestos Abatement Manual Describes the procedures for the safe abatement or removal of asbestos-containing materials that are to be followed in Alberta. Presents basic information on asbestos and asbestos products, health hazards, requirements for worker protection, safe work procedures, inspection criteria, applicable legislation, and competency profiles for persons involved in abatement activities. 	Civil Enforcement Procedures Manual Contains the legislation and information necessary to operate a Civil Enforcement Agency or act as a Civil Enforcement Bailiff. View the Civil Enforcement Procedures Manual online.
	Court Calendar and Court Services Programs Provides an overview of the sitting dates for Alberta Courts. Includes a listing of Judges, Justices, Masters, and Alberta Court personnel, as well as information on the numerous Court Services Programs available. 3-hole punched to be easily included in the Rules of Court binder. 	Energy Binder 2-volume binder set containing Alberta's statutes and regulations that affect the energy industry. Updates are published annually and are sold separately.
	Enforcement Package Contains the Specified Penalty Listing and over 25 pieces of enforcement-related legislation in pamphlet format. Enforcement CD: fully searchable to keep enforcement-related legislation at your fingertips to help you find what you're looking for quickly and effectively.
	FOIP Guidelines and Practices Manual Combines section-by-section analysis of Alberta's Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy (FOIP) Act with practical guidance on administering an access and privacy program within a public body. Distills a substantial body of rulings by the Information and Privacy Commissioner into a comprehensive, easy-to-use reference tool and provides clear concise explanations of the way the Commissioner has interpreted the Act in Orders and Investigation Reports. 	Local Government Binder Includes the Municipal Government Act and Local Authorities Election Act, as well as the most common and generally applied Regulations under the Acts.
