Post-secondary Learning Act

The Post-secondary Learning Act, together with the regulations that are made under it, governs the Alberta post-secondary system (universities, public colleges and technical institutes), including the Campus Alberta six-sector model. It provides for the establishment of the Campus Alberta Quality Council and the Campus Alberta Strategic Directions Committee. The Minister of Advanced Education has sole responsibility for most of the Act except for certain sections under common responsibility with the Minister of Infrastructure and other sections under the sole responsibility of the Minister of Infrastructure.

Land Use Regulation

Model Provisions Regulation
