Natural Gas Marketing Regulation

This regulation is made under the Natural Gas Marketing Act and governs the Alberta Petroleum Marketing Commission’s (APMC) role in overseeing the buying and selling of natural gas in Alberta. It establishes the classes of costs and charges that constitute the Alberta cost of service for a buyer under gas contracts, permits the APMC to audit contracts, and enacts procedures allowing decisions of the APMC to be reviewed or appealed. The regulation, moreover, enacts rules governing producer support for downstream pricing and record and information keeping.
