Enforcement and Administration Regulation

Under the Insurance Act, the Alberta Superintendent of Insurance has the authority to issue monetary fines to insurance companies for contraventions of the Insurance Act and associated regulations. The Enforcement and Administration Regulation specifies the information that must be contained in a notice of an administrative penalty; the factors the Superintendent of Insurance must consider when determining the amount of an administrative penalty; and the sections of other various regulations that constitute an offense.
