Dispute Resolution Process Bylaw

The Dispute Resolution Process Bylaw is a regulation that empowers the Executive Secretary of the Alberta Teachers’ Association (ATA) to refer minor teacher disciplinary matters, which may not require resolution via a formal hearing, for informal review by a member of the Provincial Executive Council of the ATA or another member of the ATA. The Regulation enables the reviewer to assess the facts, identify concerns of interest to the public and the profession, provide advice to the member under investigation, and report these findings to the Executive Secretary, including a recommendation on whether the matter should be concluded or a hearing should proceed.
