Civil Enforcement Act

This act establishes directives on how civil claims and judgments can be enforced in Alberta including who has the legal authority to conduct enforcement activities such as seizure and garnishment, and the manner in which seized items can be disposed of.

This Act was repealed by Alberta Regulation 124/2010, except parts 57, 58 and 60 (effective November 1, 2010). Part 57 - Repealed by the judges of the Court of Queen’s Bench effective October 1, 2012 pursuant to section 136 of the Winding up and Restructuring Act (Canada). Part 60 - Repealed by the Court of Queen’s Bench of Alberta Criminal Procedure Rules SI (Statutory Instruments) / 2017 76 - effective December 13, 2017.
