Alberta’s new Rules of Court have been approved and are filed as AR 124/2010. They were officially published in the August 14, 2010 edition of the Alberta Gazette and will come into force on November 1, 2010. We are working hard on the final stages of this project to make these products available to you as soon as possible.  Thank you for your patience!  The following items will be available for purchase in mid to late September:
  • Rules of Court Binder Set - $125+GST: this convenient two-volume 6x9" binder set consists of the complete Rules of Court with easy to read page layouts, a comprehensive Table of Contents, a detailed Index, and colored tabs separating each Part.  Updates will be published regularly and sold separately.
  • Rules of Court Handbook Set - $65+GST: convenient and perfect for quick reference, this portable two-volume 6x9" soft cover set consists of the complete Rules of Court with easy to read page layouts, comprehensive Table of Contents, and a detailed Index.  Updated handbooks will be sold separately.

Alberta Queen's Printer will also publish the new Rules of Court electronically.  Electronic versions will include hyperlinks and will be posted in the following formats as soon as they become available:

  • QP Source Professional: the Rules of Court will be available as a fully searchable MS Word document, including Point In Time versions. See the QP Source Professional overview for more information on this fully searchable electronic database of Alberta's current and consolidated legislation, or subscribe here.
  • Queen's Printer Website: the Rules of Court will be posted in PDF format on the Queen's Printer website.   Please note that since the existing Rules of Court continue to be in force until the new Rules of Court come into force on November 1, 2010, the current Rules of Court will continue to be posted on our website.
